6 Shopping Days Till Christmas: Affordable Beauty

Beauty on a budget! I have listed a few items on my LTK that are for budget conscious beauty lovers on a budget!

Inkey List

I personally have not tried this brand, but a few of my friends swear by it. honestly, you can get amazing products like Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid for AMAZING prices. This is a brand you can get at Sephora and pick up in store. If you want to, you can visit their website directly to find out what products are best for you! One note, if you do try retinol, MAKE SURE YOU WEAR SUNSCREEN. I use retinol on my under-eyes, it can cause so much damage when exposed to UV rays. Check out my 7 Day gift guide and try out Supergoup.

Hawaiian Tropic Self Tanning Foam

When I have the chance and $$ I go to may girl Francesca at Plush Beauty Bar for a nice spray tan (she does gift cards). But when you need something quick, this gives you an amazing color. I personally love this foam and feel it goes on even and lasts. Leave It on for about 6 hours and then rinse it off after if you are pasty like me. Another lotion I have used time and time again is Australian Gold Gradual Tanning Lotion. This one isn’t as dramatic as Hawaiian Tropic, but it does the trick!

Raw Sugar Living

This brand is amazing. I stopped using it for a while to try out other brands including Native which I have wrote about in the past, but honestly just grabbed a bottle of their moisture loving body wash and I don’t know why I switched! Great for stocking stuffers or for someone who just likes bath products.

Kristen Ess Hair Care

Honestly, this is my favorite affordable option. I’ve heard mixed reviews from some of my friends but I really love this line. I still have some in my back stock and pull it out every once in a while, especially when company comes. Sorry, I don’t share my Olaplex hahaha.

Next post will be my affordable home items gift guide. Items you can find at places like Target.

XOXO, Tay

7 Shopping days till Christmas: Boujiee Beauty Gift Guide

7 Shopping days till Christmas: Boujiee Beauty Gift Guide

I actually ended up getting pretty behind on these posts. One of them didnt go live, but if you follow me on LTK, you have had access:)

I wanted to round up some of my favorite beauty items which are great as a gift or as a stocking stuffer. I separated it into two posts: Expensive VS Affordable. I will say, most of these items are from Sephora, who does pick up orders so no worries about being last minute!

I actually use all of these items I have listed. At these price points I wouldn’t recommend anything unless I swear by it.

HAIR

I had heard about the olaplaex craze for a while and once I started going dark, my stylist recommended doing the Olaplex No. 3 hair mask once a week. It has seriously been a game changer. Since I’ve been rocking my Copper locks (shout out to Alex at Salon 44) I have been using J. Beverly Hills Rescue Shampoo and Conditioner. I only wash my hair about 3 times a week, so two washes I use this combo and then on Sundays when I do my Olaplex Mask, I follow with Olaplex No 4 & 5. Since I have been sticking to this regiment, honestly my hair has never felt better.

Skin Care

I’ve written posts about this before, but I swear by Curology. It can be a bit pricier, but honestly its so worth it. I think this would be a great gift to get someone who really struggles with skincare. My mom has actually been intersted in trying. Talk to them about it first and see if it is something they would be intersted in trying.

Skincare is worth nothing if you are not wearing SPF!!! I love Supergoup’s unseen sunscreen is so light weight and honestly acts as a primer. I put it on right after my moisturizer and literally never go a day without it.

Make Up

I’ve been switching git up a bit lately, and since I wore almost nothing last year when I started my skin care journey with curology, I started being really careful with what I put on my skin to make sure it doesn’t ruin the progress I made. I have tried a few tinted moisturizers but honestly have loved NARS tinted moisturizer with SPF. I don’t wear much unless I’m going out, and I feel like this gives me enough color correcting and even texture, it looks like I’m wearing next to nothing. I also love NARS Tinted lip balm for every day. They have limited availably in stock so always check the website.

I am sooo sensitive to mascara and for the last few years have loved Tarte’s. But recent I discovered Ilia and and am SO in love! I have pretty decent lashes, they’re just blonde. I like the limitless mascara. If you are looking for a little bit more volume then try the Fullest Volumous Mascara. Sephora has a gift set for the holidays that I actually bought when I first tried Ilia. Their lip mask is amazing as well!

Body

If you have any stretch marks or loose skin, Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum cream is amazing. Honestly, an amazing gift for anyone. Sephora has a great gift pack right now, I haven’t used the other items in there but I want to!

Perfume

My personal favorite that I use regularly is My Burburry. I have had this container for like 4 years now and still use it almost every day.

Keep an eye out for my affordable beauty post!
