My Quarantine Skincare Routine

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my IGTV video I posted this morning. We are all going stir crazy while trying to stay inside and stop the spread of this crazy virus. One thing that has been a positive is my skin has gotten so much clearer since staying home, most likely because I actually have time take care of my skin regularly! Not just my face, but my body too.

Since about 25 my skin has done a full 360. I have always had pretty sensitive skin but it hit a new level after my 25th birthday. Now at the age of 27, I don’t have the patience for adult acne. Over the last year I have tried out a bunch of different products and these are the products I keep going back to from body wash to night cream.

Body

I have done a previous post on Raw Sugar Living products, I had switched to them after finding out I had CIN3 cells on my cervix. Since originally trying them – I had switched to a few different other brands just to try things out but I find myself back with their body wash and NOW using their lotion as well. My skin decided to become uber dry all of a sudden but this lotion keeps me moisturized for at least 24 hours.

I have done previous posts on self tanner, and I decided since I am locked in the house, why not try a new one. Oh. My. God. I loveeeeeee this Australian Gold Tanner. I don’t know why I haven’t heard of this one before, but their Gradual Sunless Tanner gives you an AMAZING color, and my skin is naturally pale as ever! I use this only twice a week because if I go too hard, it doesn’t end well.

Face

Now, this is my struggle area and I have tried for quite some time to change it up and find what works right for my skin. Wholefoods 365 Every Day Value Charcoal Acne Cleanser has changed my life. It calms my skin and keeps my acne at bay. I can’t find a link for the life of me, but it is only about $6 in stores at wholefoods. I’m sure you can find it on Prime Now as well. I also like to use

Once I cleanse my face, I like to use Sephora’s Zinc Mask. It really purifies your skin and for me eliminates blemishes. I love sephora’s skincare line because it is part of sephora clean – and it is affordable. I typically like to do masks on days before I wash my hair so a few times a week because once the mask is done, its easier to just hop in the shower and rinse it off.

Once the mask is off, I’ve been using Sephora’s Hyaluronic Moisturizer. Not sure if I will continue to use it, but for now it does the trick.  Once my face is moisturized, I add on my eye cream! I recieved Murad’s Renewing Eye Cream in an Ipsy bag a while ago and have used it since.  It is quite expensive but it lasts a while!

Since I am a ginger, my pale Irish skin typically gets sort of red and irritated. Soooo I started using Argan oil on my face AND my hair once I read the benefits of it. My favorite is Acure Argan Oil. Tip: if you ever have razor burn or soar skin from shaving – put some of this on your legs, it is so relieving.

At night: instead of using the Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer, I useSephora’s Firming Sleeping Cream because it is never to early to start tightening that skin!

As always, thanks for reading! I know this was a long one, but all views are appreciated. Stay safe and healthy during this crazy time and keep an eye out for more recipes this week!

XOXO
