Self Tanner Review

Hi Everyone!

I am sure all my pale skin people can relate, self tanners can be your best friend or your worst nightmare. I recently decided to try a few different self tanners and review them. I have very fair skin and do not tan what so ever, most self tanners turn me orange, however I have found a few that I like!

A few tips that I have seen other bloggers post and they for sure work. One is to moisturize your knees, feet, elbows, and hands with your regular moisturizer before you use it and it helps.

Neutrogena Build-a-Tan

This was prob my favorite one. I felt that the color it gave me was natural, and it was easy to build. It is definitely one that you need to use sparingly. The first time I put it on I put way too much on. I was very streaky. You need to use only a little if you are fare, and make sure you rub it all in, it will leave marks. It does take forever to dry, I feel like I have to stand in front of the AC. The scent is actually pretty nice, I usually am super sensitive. I would give this a 4.5 out of 5 stars. 

Jergens Instant Sun – Sunless Tanning Mousse

I did really like the color that this mousse gave me, and it dries really fast. It is a little more difficult to put on. I first did it by hand, but it turned my hands brown even thought I washed them right after and between applications. I saw that some people put it on with a microfiber glove, well I didn’t have a glove so I used a microfiber cloth and it didnt turn my hands brown haha! But over all I would give this one a 4 out of 5 Stars.

Up and Up Self Tanning Daily Moisturizer

This is one I wear in the winter. It doesn’t turn you orange and it doesn’t really leave streaks. However, the color isn’t as deep as the ones above. This just takes away some of the paleness. It is easier than the other two to put on however. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. For some reason I can’t find this one, but it is suppose to be similar to Jergens

I still want to try a few more brands, but for the rest of the summer I’m going to just use the rest of what I have between these three. I do want to try Neutrogena Micromist Airbrush Sunless Tanning Spray.
